Produced by Bernard Butler, Steam Train Girl kicks off with pulsating guitars before the rest of band gradually join in, layering psychedelic-tinged synths over Thomas’ striking vocals and rhythmic drums.
Backed by B-side Please Kill It, a delicate track that reinforces Teleman’s skill for crafting exquisite and immediate pop songs.

I’ve just dived headlong into these songs... through luck more than anything.... a mere slip of the ear while using FIP radio station as a bungee to break my fall from the tedium of life in lockdown. Good old FIP. These songs are spectacularly crafted through what sounds like computer wizardry and deft musicianship. Reminds me of Teleman (ha ha) China Crisis ‘Difficult Shapes..’ but lyrically much more interesting. Love it. Really love it. stuarty18

Genuinely haven't been this excited to find an artist in a long time. Listened to Black Is on repeat for most of last year but Masterpiece from this album is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've heard. That 'all I think about is you' sample that comes in about halfway through and the way it works with the other vocals is just sublime. fortitude
